How will I know about upcoming TheSampleSale.com (TSS) sale events?
Members will receive daily email invitations alerts which announce all coming sales events. We also promote our sales through our Twitter and Facebook account. Also visit our blog for exclusive sneak peeks, designer interviews, and much more.
What does it mean when an item is “ON HOLD”?
This means that one or more of the specific sale items remaining in the limited inventory for each item, have been put into another member’s shopping cart. Members with an item in their shopping cart have 15 minutes from when it’s placed there to purchase this item until it is made available to other members.
How long can items be kept in my shopping cart before I must purchase them?
Items can stay in your shopping cart for 15 minutes before they’ll automatically be removed. This is a facet of TSS which allows all of our members to have access to as many sale items as possible.
How can I pay for my purchases?
Via Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
Do I have to pay sales tax?
Only if shipping within California.
What if I want to cancel or change an order?
Notify us via EMAIL prior to sales ending. After sales ending, we’ll process your item; however, you still have the ability to return your order in keeping with our 14-day return policy. Please see our Return Policy.
What if I’m sending a gift and I don’t want the person to receive the invoice?
Easy, just let us know this when during the ordering process: Under “Checkout Notes” write keyword: “Remove Invoice.”
Where do you ship and what are the rates?
We ship worldwide.
US Domestic (USPS Priority Mail) $8 first item, $3 for every 2 lbs increment
Canada (USPS Global Priority Mail) $15 first item, $3 for every 2 lbs increment
International (USPS Global Priority Mail) $25 first item, $5 for every 2 lbs increment
Please note additional shipping rates apply for oversized items and orders shipped to Overseas, Alaska, Puerto Rico and Hawaii.
Once I place my order, how long till it arrives?
Handling Time:
Varies depending on the "Estimated Delivery" time within the product page.
Shipping Time:
Once your order leaves our warehouse, USPS Priority shipments delivery time is usually 2-3 business days.
International shipments depend upon carrier (USPS) and customs; therefore, shipping times will vary.
How can I track the status of my order?
Most shipment can be tracked at www.usps.com, except those shipped FedEx Standard Overnight which can be tracked at www.FedEx.com.
What happen if you don’t have merchandise I order?
We re-count the quantity being given from the brand/designer prior to sales event. This is why TSS is able to ship-out items 48 hours after sales have ended. Short-ship or not being able to send you item/s you ordered will happen only if we make mistake of counting (should be very minimum since we count it twice –inventory count from the brand and TSS inventory count) or missing from the warehouse.
TSS will notify customer by email within 48 hours after sales ended for any short-shipment. A member whose order is short-shipped will be notified via email and will receive a full refund for the short-shipped item as well as a TSS account credit ($5 for beauty items, $20 for all other categories.)
RETURNS, CREDITS AND REFUNDS
What is TheSampleSale.com (TSS) return policy?
TSS gladly accepts returns on all items within 14 days from the time your order is received. Items must have all original tags attached and will not be accepted if they have been worn, altered, washed, or damaged. TSS issues store credit for all returns. TSS return policy is only apply for customers within United States. International customers will have to pay for their return shipping cost.
Items that are not returnable will be clearly marked as “FINAL SALE” in each TSS listing.
How does store credit for TheSampleSale.com (TSS) work?
Your account will be credited once we process your return (usually within 24-48 hours of receipt.) We'll send you an email letting you know your return has been processed, at which point you'll be able to view your credit in your TSS account.
You can redeem your credit on any purchase. Begin the purchase process as normal. On Step 1 of Checkout, click on the box labeled “Apply TSS Credits” and type in the amount of credit you’d like to use. TSS credit doesn’t have an expiration date
How do I return an item to TheSampleSale.com (TSS)?
- Please email us with subject “Return Item”
- We’ll send you return form
- Fill-out the return form completely and insert it in the return box
- Drop off the box at any USPS mail drops or offices
Do I have to pay for shipping a return to TheSampleSale.com (TSS)?
If it was our mistake and the wrong item was sent to you, we will of course pay for your return shipping. In any other case, it’s the member’s responsibility to pay for return shipping.
For returns using our return label, TSS charges a low flat rate of $5.00 for US orders. This amount will be deducted from your TSS return credit.
If you would like to pay for return shipping on your own, please remember to print out and include the return authorization in the box. TSS is not responsible for any packages until they arrive in our warehouse, so we recommend that you use a shipping method that allows you to track packages.
Can purchased items be exchanged for a different size or color?
Unfortunately no. One of the ways TSS can provide such a large selection and low prices is because we only purchase what our members order once a sale is complete - we don't have a warehouse of pre-selected inventory or inventory from prior sales. For that reason, members are unable to exchange items.
What do I do if I receive a damaged item or my order was incorrect?
If you receive a damaged or incorrect item, please call TSS Customer Service Care at 1-888-881-8390 between 9AM - 6PM PST Monday-Friday and we'll take care of it immediately.
Can I return items from different TSS sales in the same box?
Sure, just be sure that each returned item has its return authorization form and that it's within the eligible return time frame.
MEMBER ACCOUNTS
How do I change my password?
To change your password, click on "My Account". Simply enter a new password in "Change Your Password" and “Confirm Your Password Change”; then, hit on Update Account button. Your change will be active the next time you log into TSS.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
It's easy to reset your password. Simply enter your email and click on "Request A New Password". We'll email you a link to reset your password.
How do I change my billing/shipping address?
You can change your billing/shipping addresses at any time by going to "My Account" and then clicking on the "Change" button next to primary billing/shipping address section. You can add a new address and delete any incorrect addresses. To delete incorrect billing/shipping address, you need to click on “Change” button and click on “Delete” button on respective billing/shipping address section.
Can I have multiple shipping addresses on file?
Yes. You can manage addresses any time by simply clicking on "My Account" and then choosing "Add Another Billing Address" OR “Add Another Shipping Address”.
How do I update my payment information?
You can only update your payment information during the checkout process.
